I accept all purchases by credit card, debit card or bank account via PayPal through this website. (Keep in mind you no longer need to setup a Paypal account to checkout.) Paypal, the global leader in online payments, is a safe, secure way to purchase items over the internet.
If you would prefer to place an order by phone, please email me your order, shipping address and daytime phone number and I will call you to complete you order by phone. Payments can be made by phone with Mastercard, Visa, American Express or Discover Card.
Shipping
All orders shipped within the U.S. are mailed via the United States Postal Service. All orders will be shipped within 7 business days. Given the estimated delivery times, please allow 1 to 2 weeks for your order to arrive, once it has shipped. However, if you place an order and pay with a check, please note that orders will ship 7 business days from the date that the check clears.
If you need it by a specific date, please let me know! I can usually accomodate your request and will do everything I can to meet your timeframe but I need to know at the time your order is placed.
Once your order ships, you will receive notification via email from Paypal to the email address associated with your Paypal account.
Holiday Shipping Schedule
Orders need to be placed by the following dates for Christmas delivery by December 25th.
* U.S. Orders via Priority Mail by Thursday, December 17.
* U.S. Orders via Economy by Tuesday, December 15th.
* All International orders are no longer guaranteed for Christmas delivery.

International Shipping Options
International orders which request Priority Shipping are shipped via USPS Priority Mail International to all countries it supports. Delivery times for Priority Mail International are generally 6 to 10 days once shipped. For orders which select International Economy, your order will be shipped via First Class Mail International by the U.S. Postal Service. Delivery times for First Class Mail International vary and may take up to 3 weeks once shipped.
Please be advised all international Economy options do not include insurance or package tracking. If a package is lost/misdirected/destroyed, I will not be able to replace it. I suggest choosing the Global Priority Option which is insured.

Expedited Shipping Fees
If you need your order guaranteed for overnight, 2 or 3 day delivery, please contact me in advance so I can determine whether it is feasible and be able to accurately quote you the additional expedited shipping fee charges.
Sales Tax
Sales tax is collected from individuals who reside in South Carolina which is currently taxed at a rate of 5%. Please be advised that the burden of all other tax liabilities fall on the responsibility of the buyer not the seller.
Wholesale Orders
Wholesale information is available upon request. For more information on pricing and availability, please email me at wholesale@thesmallobject.com. I will then send you a link to wholesale pricing + details online. When emailing, please try to include the following information: items and quantity you are interested in carrying, brief description of store and valid resale number and/or business license so that I may accurately quote the cost, availability and timeframe for delivery.

Consignment Orders
While I very much appreciate your interest, at this time, I am not able to consider any additional consignment opportunities. I am very fortunate to be working with a number of wonderful partners right now. As a result, I would not be able to keep up with the demands of adding additional consignment stores right now. (However, please be aware that you can still place wholesale orders.). Returns and Refund Policy
Your satisfaction is extremely important to me but I know that may not always happen. (Though I aim for 100% satisfaction, 100% of the time!) Items may be returned within 7 days, provided you follow the instructions and that they meet the requirements detailed below.
If you find an item is grossly misrepresented you may return the item, but you must FIRST email me and let me know the problem with the item and to receive authorization. (If you do not receive prior authorization, you will not be eligible for a refund.) After receiving authorization, you must ship the item back to me within 7 days of the delivery confirmation of your order. Items must be shipped via method comparable to USPS Priority Mail with Delivery Confirmation. I cannot be responsible for items damaged or lost during the shipment process. Any returned item will need to be unused and in resale mint condition for a full refund, less shipping and handling charges.
Handcrafted Nature of Collection
All items in The Small Object collection are designed by yours truly. While there are items that may be printed out of house, some items are handmade from start to finish. Please review the product description for each item to determine how it was made. Items made by hand means there will be some subtle variations from item to item and that's what makes handmade better--it's made just for you!
