High hopes for summer clothes.
I went to JoAnn fabrics yesterday and they have some linen fabrics I was digging (but I can’t find them online). This is what I snatched up. They are a lighter weight than the brown linen I bought for this dress earlier this year so I am thinking they would be great for summer tops.

Last season, they told me people got upset that they didn’t have many 100% linen choices so she said they were going to be stocking more this season and that seems to be true. And this to make this small stack of japanese sewing books I picked up in the cold winter finally get some action.

I also picked up this shirt at the Gap, which I can’t find online, but which looks really nice on me and so while I dislike the see-thru gauze this shirt is made in but the lines are simple and can be remade fairly easily. So I say now.

I shall attempt this shirt in one of the linen fabrics above and report back.

geez how far south do you guys live! I can’t believe you’re thinking summer tops. it’s a crisp 10 below here again today. I’m jealous.

Ha! I thought that was a picture of corduroy at first glance. Could have something to do with all the corduroy pants I’m stocking up on, on sale, right now.
Spring is still months away and linen weather, well, longer still, but thank you for the heads up about the linen. Curious to see what becomes of yours.

Love the fabric finds :) I also love that simple little gap shirt! Perfect for summer, but I to am not a fan of the see-through gauze! Good luck

Hello from Germany !
I have just stumbled across your blog & wanted to stop & say how lovely it is.
Beautiful photos and design!! Very inspirational…thank you.—-> I´d like to sew that shirt too, it´s so beautiful & clean. Your linen is a good choice for that item.
