Fabric Napkins
I’ve been wanting to make some new fabric napkins for us for awhile now and last night I got a fit of needing to sew something so napkins was simple easy and quick.

One for me.

One for her.

I used this initial alphabet ribbon (which is similar to the other japanese twill tape type tapes, so it’s a heavier weight ribbon that feels very durable). Now that we have are own I can keep track of whose was whose cause we all know you shouldn’t be sharing napkins. Heck no! The napkins I cut from more linen from Jo-Ann Fabrics to a size of 14″ square and then folded under the edges the smallest amount and stitched down.

I just cut it out the tape a little longer than I needed and folded the edges under and stitched it down in a square shape. So for the letter “S” I cut out the tape at a the R and T spot and folded under the edges. I love this tape.

Hi Erin, thanks! The ribbon is from Reprodepot. If you click on the link above that says alphabet ribbon it will take you right to it.

What a good idea to add the ribbon! We use cloth napkins and I can never remember whose is whose from week to week. We’re happy with the tip but the germs are angry you’ve foiled a good thing! :)
