Quilt Patterns
I keep looking for a quilt pattern that seems to be perfect for us and one that I love so much I will work slowly and attentively on it for however long it takes. It takes a great amount of my self-control to not stay up all night to finish a sewing project and to have anything sit around for longer than a few days is insanity. Yet for my birthday, I got a walking foot for my sewing machine so it seems like now its time to pick one. Especially since I can hope they won’t end up in a puckered mess. I keep saving images I like from Ebay from searching for vintage quilts and this is what I’ve saved so far.

One day I’d like to think I’ll make all these patterns or so that is the intent. But I saved the best for last. This incredible amazing one is the one that got away from me, or rather it went out of my price range so naturally I miss it and find myself imaging it in real life so this will be first on my list. And it will force me to take it slow, real slow, and when it’s done I’ll be the proudest person possible.

(Or maybe I’ll work on two at once.)

I think you might like the “Dear Baby Jane” quilt pattern - it’s huge, and complicated, but you just work on it slowly, one square at a time, and eventually it becomes this astounding quilt.
I know someone making it in a quilt-a-long way here:

if you scroll down, you’ll get to the beginning of the quilt-a-long, and there are lots of links and pictures….
Cheers!

I think you could do amazing things with the 3rd quilt. Your color combinations will rock! Good luck with the quilt and happy (late) birthday! Tracey

I like the first one :) I to am bad at finishing projects, I mean I stay up all night just to be finished! It kinda drives me nuts leaving unfinished projects around! Good luck picking and making a quilt! You will have to post some pictures when you finish :)

I was going to suggest the Jane quilt too. It is definitely one that you could work on slowly. Can’t wait to see what you choose.
I'm curious about your two cents. You smart cookie!
