Summer Push-up Pops
The summer has been on with a vengeance in my neck of the woods and I’ve been itching to make something cold. But after looking at several ice cream makers we don’t have the room for that deliciousness right now. And then I spent a lot of time, too much time, looking for ice cream molds online and this one I decided on and love it! Seriously, I super love them and they are super easy and slide up super easy and aren’t messy at all. I bought them here and they are made by Lekue, a company from Spain.

We are loving the nectarine ice pops I made. I use a small food processor, actually an attachment to my immersion blender.

Nectarine + Lime Ice Pop
1 nectarine, washed and cut from the pit
1/2 lime, skin peeled
2 tablespoons fat free greek yogurt
3 tablespoons milk
1 tablespoon honey (depending on sweetness of nectarine + personal taste)
1 tablespoon cane sugar
The lid fits on securely so we didn’t have any spills in the freezer, though freeze them upright. And what I’m really digging on is you can go in and grab it and eat a bit and then put the top back on and pop it back in the freezer.

Yum! And I noticed that these molds were part of Chow’s Summer Gift Guide along with my Crafty Recipe Idea Cards! I like their taste.

(Edit: I found a better price online for the molds here at Fosters in Philadelphia.)

These are genius - I just ordered some. Perfect for my little one who has to stay away from cow’s milk. Strawberry Goat Yogurt pops all round! Ya know I bet it would hard to market Goat Pops.

They are a good idea. I am seriously considering an ice cream maker too. Space is an issue for me too but I can see a small spot on top of my fridge where it can be stored (next to the salad spinner)!

I ordered these after reading your post. They arrived yesterday. I made your recipe, went for a bike ride, came home and made dinner, and then enjoyed a delicious pop on the deck. So good. Yum yum yum. Thanks for sharing these and your recipe! They are well-designed, easy to clean, and just plain fun. Yay, summer!
