Bobbin String
Things have been wonderfully busy around here so last night I needed a quick + fun diversion for a few minutes. A few days ago, I came across some leftover bobbins and my bag of scrap yarn lengths so I pulled them out and made a bobbin string.

I’m so happy I made it. It makes me so calm to see it. Endlessly fun to play with, too. The perfect holiday “wreath” for us.

It looks really fun indeed. Lovely to just hang somewhere and indeed, to play with.

Cool. But just wait, some designer (or Anthropologie) will be selling this in a month’s time.

Hi, I just made some fabric trees from your instructions (oh, 2 years ago, I think). Thanks for the inspiration!

Very cute, very simple, but so pleasing to the eye! :-)

Very cute–I wonder if you could make it with several lengths of wire so you could form the shape of a wreath (circle)? I agree with lsaspacey–will probably see this in Anthrolopologie’s windows soon . . . ;)

My mom use to string empty thread spools together and babies loved to play with them.
