The Santa Sled
Just one more post before I wrap up Christmas decorating this week. Because next we have a week of ornaments and then a week of my handmade gifts this year. Though I’m not sure which will come first. But first, The Santa Sled!

Now, I won’t go into the exact details of how this is made for the sake of my time, but it’s similar to The Snowman Sled earlier this week. Which means you start with the same size styrofoam balls, wrap the face with the hairsprayed cotton, make the same face, etc.. However, to make this, you just need to add cotton to the front of the face stryofoam since the rest will be covered with red fabric.

To attach the fabric, brush white glue onto red cotton fabric and wrap up the balls leaving a white space for the face portion. The beard is one “segment” of a bump chenille pipe cleaner. The hat is a paper cone and the belt is constructed of paper, too.
Finally, I just sewed a quick gift sack and stuffed it with small trinkets laying about. Ho, ho, ho.
